Listen Up! The Playaways Are Coming!
Here's one I bet you haven't heard about - it's the Playaways. No, it's not a new segment on Sesame Street. Good guess, though. A Playaway is a new all-in-one audiobook device. When you check one out from us, you'll get everything needed to listen to a recorded book, but it comes pre-loaded and the device has a place for a universal jack to make listening easy through headphones, speakers, or even a car stereo system.
It looks kind of like an iPod, but each Playaway unit contains one book-up to 60 hours of playtime. There's no screen and it comes with five narration speeds for clearest comprehension. It sounds weird to say so, but some people do listen faster than others.
Anyone in the family can use it because messing up with one is impossible. You can't erase it, or copy it, or record over it. Playaways have all the best of audiobooks with none of the weaknesses.
They even make great teaching aids. Your reluctant reader can listen to a Playaway while reading the same book, making an immediate connection between the printed word and the sound, between the indvidual meaning and the meaning in context. They're terrific for seniors who dislike the bother of changing tapes or CDs in traditional players, and who frequently don't like "messing with all that stuff." You can't open the unit so there's no chance something will go missing.
And here's another nice feature for people on the go-the Playaway doesn't have to plug into a power source so you can literally take them anywhere.
A bonus for the library is that each unit is good for around 1,000 plays. A book that's read that many times would probably fall apart and blow away. Library staff who have experimented with them on a trial basis love them, and we're not all that easy to impress when it comes to library technology.

Second comic said Lisa Simpson in A Load Of Trouble how many pages is four. She wash cloths in it turn out all different colors. Third comic said Matt Groening presents Bart Simpson in Mr. Bart Krabappel! how many pages is eight His teacher Mrs. K had to stay the night with The Simpsons and then they had to leave the house and then The Simpsons stay under the bridge. Fourth comic said Groundskeeper Willie in Willie And The Weasels how many pages is six. He join the band called The Weasels and he had all the hits and he left the band.

Fifth comic said Bart Simpson in Signs of Intelligent Life how many pages is ten. He find a friend in a spaceship and he did not know how to do fun. Sixth comic said Bart & Milhouse Are Barty & Milhousy how many pages is two. They had to play outside. Seventh comic said Matt Groening presents Bart Simpson in The Return of Truckasaurus how many pages is ten. The bus broke down and they found out they build out a big vehicle. Seventh comic said Bart Simpson in One For All And Alpha One how many pages is eight. He find a book and need a one men person.

Long story short I like it. They have more comics to do. I will courage to get the book. In US cost $15.99 plus tax. I will be the best book to get.

Summary of Hank The Cowdog: Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

The pages are p. 1-135 it have ch. 1-12. I like this good book and it is by John R. Erickson and illustrations by Gerald L. Holmes. If you want to check out this book go to the library and pick it up.

It's me again, Hank the Cowdog. The night was dark and still, the air so heavy that I could taste it. And what I tasted was...MURDER!! Drover had stumbled onto the body, what was left of it, down by the creek just before dark. He sounded the alarm and I raced to the scene. In the last light of day, I conducted my usual thorough investigation. I caught him just as he was about to run for cover. Drover shivered and rolled his eyes.

I sent Drover off to scout the eastern quadrant of headquarters while I gave myself the more difficult job of checking out the western quadrant, which included the saddle shed, corrals, calf shed, and feed barn. As I groped through the inky blackness, I found myself worrying about Little Drover. What If he found the fiend? Or what If the fiend found him? I crept through the front lot, sweeping the territory in front of me with eyes that had been trained to see what ordinary eyes were unable to see. The wind stirred. No, the wind moaned. It moaned in the tops of the cottonwoods across the creek and cried through the pipes of the doctoring chute, and suddenly I heard a crash behind me.

Long story short I like it. The author and illustration biography said "John R. Erickson began writing stories in 1967 while working full time as a cowboy, farmhand, and ranch manager in Texas and Oklahoma-where two of the dogs were Hank and his sidekick Drover. Hank the Cowdog made his debut a long time ago in the pages of The Cattleman, a magazine about cattle for adults. Soon after, Erickson began receiving "Dear Hank" letters and realized that many of his eager fans were children. The Hank the Cowdog series won Erickson a Publishers Weekly "Listen Up" Award for Best Humor in Audio. He also received an Audie from the Audio Publishers Association for Outstanding Children's Series. The author of more than thirty-five books, Erickson lives with his wife, Kris, and their three children on a ranch near his boyhood home of Perryton, Texas. Gerald L. Holmes met John Erickson after moving to Perryton, Texas, a long time ago...and that's when Hank and his pals came to life for the first time in pictures. Summary of Captain Underpants And The Attack Of The Talking Toilets

This is George Beard and Harold Hutchins. George is the kid on the left with the tie and the flat-top. Harold is the one on the right with the T-shirt and the bad haircut. Remember that now. Depending on who you asked, you'd probably hear a lot of different things about George and Harold. Their teacher, Ms. Ribble, might say that George and Harold were disruptive and behaviorally challenged. Their gym teacher, Mr. Meaner, might add that they were in serious need of a major attitude adjustment. But if you asked their parents, they'd probably tell you that George and Harold were smart and sweet, and very good-hearted...even if they were a bit silly at times.

I'd have to agree with their parents. But even so, their silliness did get them into a lot of trouble, sometimes. In fact, it once got them into so much trouble, they accidentally almost destroyed the whole planet with an army of evil, vicious talking toilets! In chapter two said One fine morning at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School, George and Harold had just gotten out of their fourth-grade remedial gym class when they saw a big sign in the hallway. It was an announcement of the Second Annual Invention Convention. George and Harold had found memories of last year's Invention Convention, but this year's convention was a bit different. The first-prize winner got to be "Principal for the Day." Just then, George and Harold's principal, Mr. Krupp, showed up.

Long story short they got principal for the day. The author biography said "When Dav Pilkey was a kid, his teachers thought he was disruptive, "behaviorally challenged," and in serious need of a major attitude adjustment. When he wasn't writting sentences in the detention room, he could usually be found sitting at his private desk out in the hallway. There he spent his time writing and drawing his own original comic books about a superhero named Captain Underpants. It was always Dav's dream to publish a book about Captain Underpants. It was your normal, average, run-of-the-mill spring afternoon on the ranch-until Drover brought the news that Sally May's baby was being attacked by a giant rattlesnake. And suddenly is became un-normal, un-average, and un-run-of-the-mill. I was up by the chicken house, as I recall, taking tesimony from J. T. Cluck, the head rooster. He had a speech inpedamun-whatever you call it when a guy whistles all his S's. Speech unpedamin. He stared at me and blinked his eyes. He rolled his right wing around in its socket.

I had given Drover the night off, so by the time I came dragging in he was all fresh and ready to go exploring or some such foolishness.

You'd think the cowboys would notice something like that and give me a fresh cake sack every six months or so, but they can sell'em back to the Co-op for a nickel apiece, see, and that sort of puts a price on my services. You never really know these ranch folks until there's a nickel involved. Give the Head of Ranch Security a five-cent bed every six months? No siree, not with cattle prices the way they are. That new gunnysack just might take the ranch down into bankruptcy.
